Willamette Valley Ecoregion
Coming: “Habitat and Population Objectives for Landbirds in Priority Upland and Riparian Habitats in the Willamette Valley Ecoregion.”
In conjunction with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, population and habitat objectives have been developed for the Willamette Valley ecoregion, as well as the size, number and distribution of avian subpopulations and habitat patches. Spatially explicit polgyons will help identify the most strategic locations for conservation work by Pacific Birds partners.

Update: Pacific Birds is currently updating the Strategic Plan for Wetland Conservation in Hawai`i. A spatial analysis is currently underway to to prioritize wetlands across the Hawaiian Islands and focus waterbird conservation efforts. This spring, Pacific Birds and its partners will use methods from the Open Standards for the Practice of Conservation to collaboratively identify the most critical conservation goals and strategies.
