Pacific Birds Science and Planning

Pacific Birds has been involved in conservation planning at many geographic levels since 1993. Planning provides partners with a biological context for their conservation activities and puts projects into a larger conservation framework. Funders also want to know that partner conservation actions align with regional and national strategies and that those actions will result in measurable outcomes. At a broad scale, Joint Venture partners work to implement the goals of national and international bird conservation plans and initiatives, as well as state and regional conservation plans. Joint Ventures also work to step down regional, national and international plans into manageable pieces for implementation by partners.
